Dr. Emily Schaeffer

The IGAP is a five-year investigator salary award, with the opportunity for renewal, that supports early-career researchers as they establish themselves as independent scientists. The award recognizes investigators who are committed to advancing child health through innovative research that bridges science and clinical care.

Dr. Schaeffer, Research Director of the Division of Pediatric Orthopaedics and a newly appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of British Columbia, is the successful recipient of this year’s award. Her research leadership has made a significant impact in pediatric orthopaedics, with a focus on improving outcomes for children through international registries, patient-centered research, and knowledge translation.

Dr. Schaeffer’s her leadership and dedication are well-recognized by this achievement and we at the Hippy Lab are proud to support her continued impact in pediatric orthopaedics and child health research.

Congratulations, Dr. Schaeffer!
