2025 Peterson Scholar: Dr. Evelyn Kuong
Dr. Evelyn Kuong, a distinguished Consultant in Orthopaedics & Traumatology and Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Hong Kong, has been awarded the 2025 Peterson Fellowship for Global Hip Health and will be visiting BC Children’s Hospital in Fall 2025.
Dr. Kuong brings extensive experience in pediatric orthopaedics, particularly in managing complex lower limb deformities and congenital malformations. She specializes in treating pediatric hip conditions of developmental and neuromuscular origin and leads multidisciplinary clinics to ensure lifelong care for patients with rare skeletal dysplasias.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Kuong is actively involved in global pediatric orthopaedic societies and has a strong commitment to furthering orthopaedic education. She recently presented her research on "The Hip in Spinal Muscular Atrophy" at the 2024 Hip Hope Network Meeting in Maryland, contributing to international dialogues on improving hip health for children.
We are honored to host Dr. Kuong for a special observership at BC Children’s Hospital in Fall 2025, where her presence will enrich our team's understanding and practices in pediatric hip care.
