Dr. Armin Nouri Zadeh Wins Best Paper at Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers Conference (Twice!)
Last week, Armin Nouri Zadeh, MD, who is also a Master’s Student at the Hippy Lab under the supervision of Dr. Kishore Mulpuri, gave 2 podium presentations at the Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineering (SPIE) Conference in San Francisco and won Best Paper both times!
The Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE) Conference is an international annual gathering of scholars working in optics and photonics, advancing light-based technology.
Armin’s work is primarily based in working to develop a new objective method of Muscle Spasticity assessment for children with Cerebral Palsy using an optical technology called Near-Infared Spectroscopy
Armin gave two presentations this year at SPIE:
Using near-infrared spectroscopy to monitor and assess muscle spasticity in children with cerebral palsy undergoing Botox treatment, a feasibility study
Evaluating the level of muscle contraction by near-infrared spectroscopy a potential application for scaling muscle spasm
Congratulations, Armin!
